Idea and philosophy
As a new exhibition venue, Haus Rabe provides cultural and social impetus. It promotes culture in the rural district of Leipzig and explores the artistic ideas, methods and works of the Bauhaus in various exhibitions. The aim is to create links to the contemporary world.
In addition, the unique premises of Haus Rabe offer ideal conditions for special events for up to 15 people.

Cultural Foundation
District of Leipzig
In 2018, the district of Leipzig decided to establish an independent foundation to promote art and culture in the district of Leipzig and, in particular, to preserve buildings of cultural and historical significance in the region.

The Kulturstiftung Landkreis Leipzig is a non-profit foundation under private law with legal capacity and has been recognised by the State Directorate of Saxony since 30 September 2020.

In addition to the foundation council and the board of directors, the Kulturstiftung Landkreis Leipzig has friends who actively support the purpose of the foundation and Haus Rabe, as well as a scientific advisory board. Friends of Haus Rabe are natural and legal persons.

Haus Rabe is the source of our ideas and our enthusiasm. People who share this passion with us can make a difference and achieve something together with us.
Donations enable us to preserve Haus Rabe as an exceptional Bauhaus monument (preservation of monuments) and to continuously develop the exhibition and supporting programme (cultural promotion).

Our supporters
A network of co-operators forms the basis for the preservation and strengthening of cultural life in the district of Leipzig. It is to be established and maintained in and around Haus Rabe. Only with political, economic and non-material support will it be possible to present a permanent exhibition programme, preserve Haus Rabe in its uniqueness and have a positive impact on the cultural development of the district.
